" Whenever I encountered children around me of varied ages and temperaments, I was touched by the fact, that they all share the same instincts, the same feelings and the same capacities that needed to be utilized. It is very distressing and difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that so many children are deprived of the basic right to a good education and a future worth looking forward to.
Being born in a remote, under-developed region or to a poor family should not be an excuse for leaving their talents unexplored. These children have an equal right to quality education. Education as good as received by any other child from an affluent family. So they too can value life, have something to hold on to and contribute to the nation's development.
I held on firmly to my dream of actualizing on alma mater that would serve as a stable foundation for hundreds of children, helping them pursue their aspirations. This is how MET School was envisioned." |
