The Faculty
Mianwali Education Trust School employs the best available teachers holding a Masters degree from a recognized university. Our first priority at this stage of development is training our Faculty. The School has a structural arrangement with centres of excellence for teacher training in Elementary School Education, English Language, and the Montessori system.
The school is a member of the British Council School Link Program. The UK Voluntary Services Organization had provided the services of a British Teachers' Trainer.
The teacher-training program is also being financed through donations.
Currently we have 38 teachers 500 students. Hopefully, plans for an in-house teacher-training centre will soon be underway.
Teachers Training Program
The school is laying great emphasis on Teachers Training Program so that teachers are competent enough to prepare student for the O' and A' level and equivalent examinations. Our prime objective is to achieve high academic standards and ensure quality education for our students.
Teaching Methodology
An inquiry-based methodology is used so that students assimilate and absorb knowledge. We not only educate our students but also prepare them to be tolerant, logical and well-groomed leaders for the future of Pakistan . Equal emphasis is placed on Islamic education and co-curricular activities. We provide a basis for making our students capable of contributing to the development of society.
The Fee
The school attempts to meet its expenses by the tuition fee as far as possible, including teaching and non teaching staff salaries, school office expenses, maintenance of the building, sports and extracurricular activities.
However, there are expenses that exceed the school budgets for which the school has to rely on grants. This includes laboratory and audiovisual equipment, cost of teacher training, maintenance of library, water cooler and refrigerator. In addition to this, funds are needed for a number of deserving students on waiting list for scholarships.
Realizing the financial constraints of the middle class families our students come from, the tuition fee of the school has been kept within affordable limits.
Tuition fee for the session 2006-2007:
For Elementary School
Rs.1270/ month
For Secondary School
Rs.1380/ month
However the talented children who pass the entrance test but are unable to pay full fee or partial fee are finances by the school scholarship scheme .
Examination System
The school has replaced the annual assessment by the evaluation system, which includes monthly examinations. This is being done under the guidance of the Institute of Teachers Training , Rawala Kot.
Affiliation with Aga Khan University Board
The school is affiliated with the Aga Khan University Board for taking the Secondary School Examinations. AKU hold the first Secondary Examinations in 2007.Our Students has secured 100% result in Aga Khan Examination Board mock Examinations.
